Standing Up for Common Sense Solutions
Standing Up for Common Sense Solutions
As Vermonters, we cherish our independence, our heritage, and our way of life. We believe in limited government, personal responsibility, and economic freedom. Chris Brown is dedicated to preserving these timeless Vermont values and fighting for the interests as his hometown's voice in Montpelier.
We should be working to remove the arbitrary CO2 reduction mandates and restore them to "goals".
We should also focus on protecting & preserving our natural resources rather than spending taxpayer dollars in an attempt to impact the global climate.
The youth in this state need their education to focus more on core curriculum such as reading, writing, arithmetic, and science and I will work to ensure our students are receiving top-notch education across the state.
We need to allocate more funds to fix our roads and provide our communities with flood mitigation and climate resiliency.
Our state's infrastructure also needs to be modernized to protect against future extreme weather events.
This can be done by reforming Act 250 to streamline the process and eliminate costly and inefficient studies.
Reforming the building code mandates and lowering the cost of renovations and new builds will also benefit our state in our current housing crisis.
Vermonters need protection from a bloated government and excessive taxation. By passing a Taxpayer Bill of Rights we can lower the cost of living in our state.
We can also do this by increasing education funding transparency and eliminating carbon tax on home heating and motor fuels.
We need to rebuild and refund our law enforcement community so they can do their job to serve and protect the citizens of our state.
We also need to end catch-and-release bail policies for repeat offenders. Additionally, we need to focus on providing resources to bring cases to trial in a timely manner.
Welcome to my campaign website, and thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my political beliefs.
I am a lifelong resident of Castleton and a proud 10th-generation Vermonter. My strong Republican principles align closely with those of Ronald Reagan, emphasizing that less government leads to better governance, and that capitalism and free enterprise can lift everyone if given the opportunity to thrive. I firmly believe that reducing burdensome tax policies can stimulate economic activity and boost revenues.
As a staunch supporter of law and order and a defender of the Second Amendment, I recognize the urgent need to address the mental health crisis, which in turn can help alleviate challenges such as homelessness in our state.
Throughout my career, I have been primarily self-employed, most recently owning and operating an auto parts business alongside my wife for 24 years. Following a brief retirement, I found myself drawn to public service and spent 5 1/2 years at the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) before retiring from that position in April.
My wife, Andrea, and I have been married for 36 years, raising our two daughters right here in Castleton. We are grateful for our loving and thriving family, which includes two sons-in-law and two grandchildren.
Now, I am excited to embark on a new journey in politics, serving the community I call home. With a keen interest in current events and a firm stance on political matters, I am motivated to help steer the political landscape in Montpelier towards positive change. I am eager to represent the residents of Castleton and hopeful that together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our fellow Vermonters.
Thank you for your support, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
